A teacher, Bie Sukrit style that people can’t help falling in love with… part 2

As student  from the school of Engineering, I always thought everything happened in accordance to the law of  cause and effect till I came into the entertaining industry.  The industry opened up another world for me.  Little by little, I started to throw away reasons and replaced it with feelings… now I am a believer.

Because you saw examples and you experienced it yourself?

“There were times when I read a book and wished that a girl in the book existed in real life. Once, I fell in love with a fictional character from a novel and that was “Angsumalin” from Khu Kam. I thought she was such a lovable girl, red cheek, curved eyebrow, always had a smile on her face … it would be perfect if she existed in real life. “Bie said  🙂

“When I was young, I used to like a girl who looked like a character in a game I played. I tried to get to know but it didn’t work out.”

No need to talk about love at the moment… because his whole focus is on “Behind the Painting”. The musical was recently presented to potential investors in NY.  At the moment, they are waiting to hear whether the musical will become Broadway musical.

“It’s very expensive (to produce a musical show in US). We cannot do it ourselves. If it cost us 10 million baht (in Thailand), it would cost us 100 million baht over there”.

“If everything goes well,  Behind the Painting could be playing in the theater(s) outside of NY,  either Seattle or San Francisco by the end of the year. But, it’s still not for sure yet.”

  (P.S. the latest news was the middle of 2015)

What he knew for curtain…  during the last two years… he has gone through very training and rehearsal with musical professionals.

“The rehearsal was 8 hours a day on a consistent basis. I had to drink a lot of coffee, took vitamins or energy booster to keep me going. I had to secretly take quick naps during our 15 minutes breaks. The stage manager was very strict. The stage manager would record everything. Even though you are so tired, you can’t show it… otherwise, it would be on your record and would affect your next audition.”

The biggest problem was his English. He had to learn from the beginning during casting. No used asking him whether he ever felt discouraged.

Bie answered quickly with a laugh… “it’s not “sometimes”, but  more like “most of the times.”

“After work, I liked to go to Thai restaurant… just to sit and drink a glass of water and to see Thai people who worked there. I went there just to talk to them, asked them to go out… it’s another way to relieve stress… I wanted to feel at home, Thai atmosphere.”

Nonetheless, he admitted that he learned a lot… learn to work at a world-class level in  such a competitive environment where everyone is highly skilled… which lead him to push himself even harder to move up his skill level. 

“When you are in a very competitive environment where the stake is high, everyone has to always be ready.  You always have to get better and better.” 

How do you live your life? 
“I would say that I am quite lucky. Some people even though they stay home living a normal life, they still have to deal with damaging news. It doesn’t  happen to me that often… maybe because of how I live my life? I came into the industry because I liked singing and acting… it was never in my head  that I had to be famous.”

“I let the company handle all the fame. My life is mine to live and I live a normal life… Another thing is don’t disregard people’s feelings… always think “how would I feel if it happened to me, etc… ? and don’t be spiteful. That’s all.”

The future of Bie the Star…
“Music would be my side job. I don’t think I would become a lyricist.  It should be OK to take a role of a father or an uncle when I am 30 or 40.  It’s not a lot of work. Special guest would work well also. When you take a lead role or you are a main character, you have to be in the first scene till the very last scene.”

“Things will slowly change as I get older but not at the moment… because there are many things that I have opportunities of doing. Opportunity doesn’t easily come by. Once you get it, you have to take great care of it.”

Like what he is doing at the moment with all kinds of opportunities/ work that come his way.

แม้ก่อนหน้านี้จะไม่เคยเชื่อตามประสาเด็กสายวิทย์ที่คิดว่าทุกอย่างต้องเป็นไปตามเหตุและผลจนกระทั่งได้เข้ามาในวงการบันเทิง

“เริ่มเปิดโลก เริ่มดึงเหตุผลทิ้งเอาความรู้สึกเข้ามาทีละนิดจนทุกวันนี้เชื่อว่าจริง”

เพราะเห็นตัวอย่างจากหลายๆคู่ รวมทั้งได้เจอกับตัวเอง

“บางครั้งไม่เคยเห็นหน้า อ่านหนังสือก็อยากให้ผู้หญิงคนนี้มีตัวตนจริง หลงรักคนในนิยาย เริ่มจากคู่กรรมที่เพิ่งเล่นไปบรรยาย “อังศุมาลิน” น่ารักดีแก้มแดง คิ้วโก่ง มีรอยยิ้ม ถ้ามีตัวตนจริงเวิร์กมากเลย” คนพูดบอกเขินๆ

ที่หนักสุดคือ ตอนเด็กๆ เคยตามจีบสาวคนหนึ่งเพราะหน้าเหมือนตัวละครในเกมที่ชื่นชอบ แต่สุดท้ายก็แห้วรับประทาน ฮ่าาาาาา

ส่วนรัก ณ ขณะนี้คงไม่ต้องพูดถึง เพราะชีวิตเขาโฟกัสอยู่กับงาน โดยเฉพาะละครเวที “ข้างหลังภาพ เดอะ มิวสิคัล” ที่เพิ่งนำไปเสนอนายทุนที่นิวยอร์ก โดยอยู่ระหว่างรอผลว่าจะได้กลายเป็นบรอดเวย์ระดับโลกหรือไม่

“เราลงทุนเองไม่ได้ มันแพงมากเป็น 10 เท่าของที่นี่ ถ้าที่นี่ 10 ล้าน ที่นู่น 100 ล้าน”

โดยถ้าทุกอย่างเป็นไปตามเป้า สิ้นปีนี้เขาอาจจะได้ไปแสดงตามต่างจังหวัดของรัฐ เช่น นิวยอร์ก, ซีแอทเทิล, ซานฟรานซิสโก ฯลฯ

แต่ที่รู้ๆ คือการไปแคสติ้งร่วมกับมืออาชีพต่างชาติตลอด 2 ปีที่ผ่านมานั้นไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย

“วันหนึ่งซ้อมติดกัน 8 ชั่วโมง ผมต้องแอบอัดกาแฟ กินวิตามิน ยาชูกำลัง หรือช่วงพักแอบหนีไปนอน 15 นาที คนคุมสเตจโหดมาก เขาบันทึกทุกอย่าง ถึงจะเหนื่อยก็แสดงออกไม่ได้ ไม่งั้นแคสติ้งเรื่องต่อไปประวัติเราจะไม่ดี” เขาโอด

โดยเฉพาะกับปัญหาใหญ่อย่างเรื่อง “ภาษาอังกฤษ” ที่ไม่ถนัดมาตั้งแต่เด็กก็ต้องเริ่มเรียนใหม่พร้อมๆ กับการแคสติ้ง

ดังนั้น จึงไม่ต้องถามว่า “ท้อบ้างไหม”

เพราะเขารีบบอกพลางหัวเราะ “ไม่เรียกบางช่วง เรียกว่าท้อทุกช่วงเลย”

“เลิกงานจะไปร้านอาหารไทยบ่อยมาก นั่งกินน้ำเปล่าเพื่อไปเจอพนักงานคนไทย คุยกับเขา ชวนเขาไปเที่ยว เป็นอีกวิธีผ่อนคลายความเครียดจากงาน บรรยากาศไทยๆ เหมือนที่บ้าน”

กระนั้นก็ยอมรับว่าเขาได้เรียนรู้มากขึ้น เรียนรู้การทำงานระดับโลกที่สู้กันด้วยความสามารถ ซึ่งล้วนทำให้เกิดการพัฒนาตัวเอง

“เมื่อเข้าไปอยู่ในดินแดนที่การแข่งขันสูง ทุกคนต้องเตรียมพร้อมตลอดเวลา เราก็ต้องพัฒนาเรื่อยๆ”

ส่วนเรื่องการใช้ชีวิตเขาว่า “ก็เสมอต้นเสมอปลาย”

“ถือว่าโชคดีมากกว่า บางคนใช้ชีวิตปกติแค่นอนอยู่บ้านก็มีข่าวเสียๆ หายๆ ผมอยู่บ้านเฉยๆ ก็ไม่มีไร การวางตัวของเราด้วยมั้ง เข้าวงการเพราะชอบการร้องเพลง การแสดง ไม่ได้คิดว่าต้องเป็นดาราโด่งดังมีชื่อเสียง”

“ชื่อเสียงก็ให้บริษัทดูแลไป ชีวิตก็เป็นของเราอยู่แบบปกติ”

“เอาใจเขามาใส่ใจเรา ถ้าไม่เหนือบ่ากว่าแรงก็ทำ ถ้าคิดว่าอะไรที่คนอื่นทำแล้วเราไม่สบายใจก็ไม่ทำใส่เขาเท่านั้นเอง”

ส่วน “บี้ เดอะสตาร์” ในอนาคตไกลๆ นั้น ก็คงจะอยู่ในวงการบันเทิงต่อไป

เพราะนักร้องดังว่า “อยากทำเพลงเป็นอาชีพเสริม แต่คงไม่ผันตัวเป็นนักแต่งเพลง อายุ 30-40 เล่นเป็นพ่อพี่ลุงก็โอเคนะ ไม่เหนื่อย หลายครั้งเล่นรับเชิญก็เวิร์กนะ สบายดี เพราะการเป็นตัวหลักต้องเล่นซีนแรกถึงซีนสุดท้ายของวัน”

“ต่อไปอายุมันรักษาไว้อย่างนี้ไม่ได้ ก็ค่อยๆ เปลี่ยนไป”

“แต่อย่าเพิ่งเปลี่ยนตอนนี้นะ” เขารีบท้วง

เพราะรู้ว่าตอนนี้ยังมีโอกาสให้ทำสิ่งต่างๆ อีกมากมาย

“แล้วโอกาสไม่ใช่เข้ามาง่ายๆ ถ้าได้มาก็ต้องรักษาไว้จนถึงที่สุด”

“อย่างที่เขากำลังพยายามในทุกๆ งานที่ได้ทำ”
