FYI…
My Khu Kam lakorn channel with English subtitle on youtube is in trouble. The account got one strike from GMM for copyrights. As a result, youtube deleted episode 6 part 2. I am uploading the deleted part (E6 p2) here for people who haven’t had a chance to watch or want to re-watch it again.

I am trying to protect my Bie Lakorn account on youtube. Keep my fingers cross that they will not come back to strike other clip(s). Two more strikes , the account will be suspended and deleted (lost 4 lakorns with English subtitle last year, 4 years of work went down the tube 😦
There are 123 clips from Khukam. It’s impossible to protect the clips right now. In the same time, I removed all the “TAGS” from Khukam clips hoping to slow them down when they are looking for more Khukam clips to strike.
What’s next?
If my Khukam lakorn channel on youtube got deleted, I would need to find a new host/ youtube alternative. Dailymotion might be a possibility. I can host short clips here but may not be a good idea to host lakorn due to lakorn file size and limited storage space.
I’ll keep searching for other alternatives. If you have ideas or suggestions, please share with me. Thanks.

Would reposted the deleted video with sound mute get you into trouble? YT suggested that I do that with some of my videos that I uploaded on YT for my family and friends to view that got copyright noticed. So sorry to hear about what had happened. I found your video at last

Mute the sound – some clips, we can mute the sound and it would be ok.
With Khukam E6 p2 clip, there wasn’t any warning or option. Youtube deleted the clip and told me that GMM asked them to strike down that clip because the content belonged to GMM. There was nothing I could do. Just hope that they don’t come back to strike down more Khukam clips 😦

I have to learn how to use/ organize clips on google plus. Yeah, I like the video quality on google… uploading clips are almost the same rate as youtube. If our youtube account is deleted by youtube, wouldn’t we lose our google plus account as well??? since youtube and google are the same company

Dailymotion is very slow.
I think you should have a host to save all files, not only for online but also for downloading too.
Before I had trouble with copyrights like you, but I still save on my computer and a host.

How about you start a post on your website and let’s get a petition going or encourage everyone to come together to each send out an email to GMM. You are actually doing them a free service. Come on. How many international fans did you help them garnish with your subs. You are not getting any profits either. This is really unfair to inter fans. If the Thai ET industry subs their lakorns for sale or release official subbed box sets then I understand that it’s direct competition to their sales! But there is absolutely none to be found, anywhere.
Exactly! they got my service for free. I definitely do not get paid for any of this service. I help promoted their artists and their production. IF it was a news clips promoting their products, they left those clips alone. But when it comes to lakorn/ their production… they put a strike on the clips… something is not right about this process.
I was thinking along the same line with you… get a petition going… ask all international fans to go and post message(s) on GMM and Exact facebook. Hope, international fans will join in.
GMM talked about their rights to their contents… what about my work and time that I spent subbing each lakorn and help promoted their artist… somehow, they forgot that point.
So far, a fan in Thailand sent a letter to khun Boy at Exact. Hopefully, he reads the letter and get back to us. If I don’t hear from them I am going to complain with youtube and GMM directly. The worst case is they delete my account which it’s going to get deleted anyway when they come back to put to strike down another KK clips. There are more than 100 clips for them to strike 😦

This is how I understand the above statement. Sorry in advance if I misunderstood any of the above information
What you cannot do:
1. save your music file on your own server or use someone else copy code to post, use their song(s) in the background intentionally or unintentionally (P.S. not sure if I totally understand this one)
2. share or allow others to download songs whether it’s from your own server or a host server
What you can do:
3. when you post or share the lyrics, you must state the title of the song and name the original artist
4. If you sing one of their songs with your own voice, you must state clearly whom the original artist was

Malie, I noticed that all your Khu Kam videos are TV rips that are quite low quality (the videos are blurry and does not play smoothly, they seem to skip frames). I’ve got rips from the official boxset DVDs which have excellent quality. Are you interested in putting the English subs on this version and sharing these instead. International fans will have a better viewing experience. If you’re interested, please email me so I can arrange the files for you.
Khu Kam is actually filmed in HD (16:9), but was broadcasted in 4:3 in Thailand. Unfortunately the videos in the boxset DVDs are also in 4:3. I guess the drama will only be shown in HD (16:9) when it is licensed and broadcasted in other countries. 😦
FYI, your 720p video files are 4:3 stretched to 16:9. You can do the same with the official DVD rips, but I prefer to watch them at the correct display ratio. Bie and Noona definitely looks better and more natural at the correct display ratio.

The video file I got was already stretched to 16:9. I used whatever I had access to. Plus, I don’t know how to revert it back to its original form. Back then, Thailand didn’t have HD TV, yet.
Anyway, each of my video clip had to go through at least 3 video conversions before the final product. Picture quality was lost with each conversion.
1. split one hour long video file into smaller chunks… 15 to 20 minutes long using Window Movie Maker
2. converted each video clip from .wmv to .avi (because Virtual Dub would only work with .avi)
3. I used Virtual Dub to do subtitle. Virtual Dub reduces quality of the video almost by half (i.e. from 400MB .wmv to only 200MB .avi Virtual Dub clip with sub.)
I think unless I find a better software that can split and sub, I will continue to have low quality video. There are better ones out there but I can’t afford them 😀
GMM’s copyrights is also a problem. I don’t know how long KK clips will remain playable on youtube. They are blocking one clip after another 😦
rips from the official box set DVDs – sure, I can try. Actually, I was thinking about it. One thing that concerns me…someone might try to profit from me by downloading good quality clips, put it on DVD and sell.
Malie, I can rip the videos for you from the DVDs in the format you want (avi, and in segments). You just need to add in the English hard sub. In this way you will have the highest possible quality.
I can rip a segment from EP1 for you to try. Let me know your email address so I can send the download link to you (You should be able to see my email from this post).
Have you watched Hormones the series? Kudalakorn is subbing it and she has been using dailymotion for her videos. She also has full episode hard sub downloads available. For example:

As for someone selling the videos, it depends on how you look at it. In my point of view, I don’t care if that happens, as long as more people are able to watch this awesome series. But you may have a different point of view though. 🙂

I didn’t know who is Bie..until I watched KhuKam film, I like you and Noona so much..Bie…I cried a lot at the end of the film…I wish you are still alive and can see your baby…and bring him/or her to Japan for your Mom..even now..I watch this film every day…I would like to see Kobori and Hekedo every day…but I just want to see the time that you and Hedeko are happy together….. I watch the film in the office …do you know my soon, he is only 6 years old but he like you so much..since soliders are his idol….and he asked me why didn’t you stay at Hekedo’s house in stead of Shipyard…every night….and he also said..he doesn’t like Thailand’s traditional…after married they are not be together at the same house…not like Vietnamese traditional…he is too young to understand about your love story…. all my family like the Khukam so much , we are gather in the living room every day at 8 PM to see the film together even we already watch all the film in internet…But we still want to see again….It’s a very sad love story…..And we are also like the song of the film…I listen to this song every day even..in office as well… Especially I like the Japan music..it is really sad but I like so much…I can not forget your image…with the Japanese traditional ..Can you advise me the link of this kind of music..It is very short but very sad as well……
